David T. Rubin, MD, is co-director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and an associate professor of medicine, department of medicine, at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. His clinical practice is based at the Reva and David Logan Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Dr. Rubin is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and serves as chair of professional education for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
An avid researcher, Dr. Rubin's interests include clinical outcomes of inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening and prevention, teaching medicine, and clinical medical ethics. He is currently the principal investigator for several research projects and clinical trials involving wireless capsule endoscopy in IBD, measures of inflammation and cancer risk, and novel technologies for disease monitoring. Dr. Rubin has contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, review articles and abstracts to the medical literature.
Dr. Rubin earned his doctor of medicine degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in gastroenterology and clinical medical ethics at the University of Chicago, where he was chief resident and chief fellow. Dr. Rubin is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Nancy McGreal, MD

Nancy McGreal, MD is a fourth-year gastroenterology fellow at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she developed an interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and continuity of care in the treatment of chronic disease. A member of the American Gastroenterological Association, Dr. McGreal is currently pursuing a combined fellowship in both adult and pediatric gastroenterology with a concentration in IBD. She intends to utilize her unique combined adult/pediatric training to care for children and adolescents afflicted with IBD and aid their transition to adulthood.
Additionally, Dr. McGreal has served as the medical director of Camp Oasis for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) for three years. She has also served as the trainee liaison for the Patient Education Symposium, through which she has amplified the involvement of GI fellows in the conference. Dr. McGreal has contributed to several book chapters, abstracts and peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. McGreal graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in biology and psychology and attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of California - San Diego.
Marc Schwartz, MD

Marc Schwartz, MD, is a member of the gastroenterology faculty at the University of Chicago, where he stayed on after completing his fellowship training with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr. Schwartz, a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, is currently working toward an advanced degree focused on epidemiology, biostatistics and the economics of health care at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Schwartz's research interests include the cost-effectiveness of medical therapy, approaches to preventing colon cancer, and the use of new technologies in gastroenterology, specifically related to IBD. His abstracts and articles have been featured in many peer-reviewed journals and at national meetings.
Dr. Schwartz earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan, where he was awarded the Bronze Beeper for excellence in resident teaching of medical students. Dr. Schwartz is board certified in internal medicine.
